Privacy policy
This policy explains what we do with your personal information when you book a car, write to us, or simply browse this site. Quick Car Rental Ltd is the data controller.

What we collect
When you book: your name, email address, telephone number (and a second number if you give one), country of residence, flight number if you give it, the dates and vehicle you chose, the extras you selected, and anything you write in the notes field. When you use the contact form: your name, email, optional telephone number and your message. Nothing else. The online deposit is processed directly by our payment gateway; your card details never reach us and are never stored on our system.
Why we need it
To confirm and manage your rental, to recognise you at the airport, to track your flight so we are waiting when you land, to reach you if something changes, and to meet the record-keeping and insurance obligations that apply to vehicle rental in Mauritius.
Our legal basis
We process your booking details in order to perform the rental contract you have entered into. We keep records after the rental because Mauritian law and our insurers require it. We reply to contact-form messages on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering people who write to us.
Who sees it
Only the two of us who run the company, plus our insurer if there is a claim, and the Mauritian police or courts if we are legally required to disclose it. We do not sell your information, we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not pass it to third-party booking platforms.
Cookies
This site sets two small cookies, both strictly functional: one remembers which language you are reading in, and one records that you have chosen a language yourself so we stop suggesting another. There are no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies and no third-party trackers on this site, which is why you are not being asked to consent to any.
How long we keep it
Booking records are kept for the period required by Mauritian tax and insurance rules, and then deleted. Contact-form messages are deleted once the enquiry is closed and no booking followed.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct anything wrong, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, and object to how we use it. Write to us and we will respond within a month, free of charge.
Where your data is held
Your booking is stored on our booking system, hosted in a data centre operated by our hosting provider. If you are contacting us from the European Union, note that Mauritius is outside the EEA; we handle your information to the standard this policy describes wherever it is stored.
